02 - 1/2 cup rolled oats
03 - 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
04 - 2 tbsp almond flour or whole wheat flour
05 - 2 tbsp light brown sugar or coconut sugar
06 - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
07 - 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
08 - Pinch of salt
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

11 - 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
# Directions:
01 - Set oven temperature to 350°F.
02 - Wash and core each apple, ensuring the bottom remains intact to create a cavity for filling.
03 - Combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, almond or whole wheat flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl.
04 - Add melted butter and unsweetened applesauce to the dry mixture and stir until evenly moistened.
05 - If desired, fold in raisins or dried cranberries.
06 - Place apples upright in a baking dish and fill each cavity generously with the oat-nut mixture.
07 - Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of water into the bottom of the baking dish to prevent sticking.
08 - Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
09 - Remove foil and continue baking for 15 minutes or until apples are tender and the topping turns golden brown.
10 - Serve warm, optionally accompanied by Greek yogurt.
